Systematic Functional Analysis of Intracellular Parasitism as a Model of Genomes Conflict

The overall objective is to decipher the intracellular biological pathways and basic cellular processes that are acting in physiological conditions as well as in the context of intracellular parasitism in order to highlight the alteration in gene expression that result from the conflict between the host and pathogen genomes.

More specifically, the study will be based in the use of human and mouse macrophages as cellular targets and of Leishmania parasites as a prototype for intracellular pathogens.
